ABOUT US

Felix Obeng Donkor (also known as Felix Obeng-Donkor) is a youth mentor, community advocate, and founder of BridgeForward — a mentorship initiative based in Timmins, Ontario, working throughout Cochrane, Kapuskasing, and North York. His focus is helping at-risk youth and formerly incarcerated individuals rebuild their lives through structure, mindset development, and practical tools like credit education and career planning.Felix’s work is centered in low-income areas often impacted by drugs, guns, and violence. Through his commitment to real solutions, he works to break cycles and offer direction to those most in need.

Introducing real-life tools and guidance early in a child’s development can dramatically influence their ability to thrive later in life. When young people have access to mentorship and foundational skills — especially in environments shaped by poverty, instability, or limited resources — they begin to see possibilities beyond their immediate circumstances. BridgeForward focuses on closing the gap left by traditional education by offering early instruction in credit, money management, and goal-setting. These skills not only help prevent cycles of incarceration and financial hardship, but also give youth the clarity and confidence to build stable, self-directed lives. Empowerment begins when they’re equipped with knowledge — not after they’ve already been left behind.
